The sculptures of Inflatablemonster Studio playfully explore spaces and initiate dialogues,
with tragicomic characters hinting at open-ended narratives of surprising heros, epic failures and bold adventures.

Bio.

Inflatablemonster studio has a love of marker pens and traditional moulding and casting. The main focus is human conversation, the continuation of figure sculpture, and exploring the possibilities of modern and traditional materials. Inflatablemonster Studio has exhibited internationally, contributed to art teaching and public art projects, as well as undertaking commissions and commercial fabrication projects.

Andrew N MacVicar born Perth 1981. Graduated with a BA(Hons) Degree in Time Based Art (2009) and a Masters in fine art, specialising in sculpture from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (2011). Andy has written on the history of sculpted monsters and human beings changing relationship with the mobile moving image surface. Currently working back in Scotland after 2 years working in New Zealand and a research trip, kayaking on the Mekong river, and riding motorcycles in the jungles of Vietnam and Cambodia. Andy currently works as one of the Black Isle Bronze Foundrymen. (www.blackislebronze.co.uk).

Experience in: Sculptures, props, objects in plastics, metals, rubbers, resins, ceramics, pneumatics, remoulding from 3d printed originals, industrial fabrication, art teaching and sculpture installations.
